Unit 2 We have celebrated the festival since the first pioneers arrived in America.

教学目标
知识与技能: through this period, students will be able to:
1. get general ideas, learn about the history of Thanksgiving and how people celebrate it in America.
2. summarize the outline of the composition about the holiday.
情感目标:To raise curiosity and interest about the culture awareness, encourage Ss to read outside class.
教学重点: 1. To know the facts about Thanksgiving Day.
2. To learn the reading strategy--- word guessing.
3. To use the conjunctions in the adverbial clause of time.
教学难点: To analyze the reason- “why do we celebrate the holiday” and express their ideas.

4.Fill in the blanks with conjunctions
| Read fast and Say the key words they’ve got. Then summarize the headings of each paragraph.
Read again carefully and answer the questions.
Offer the phrases of various activities in holiday
