Will computers be used more than books in the future?

一、 学习目标:

知识目标:1、掌握本模块单词短语及一般将来时的被动语态和情态动词的被动语态。

2、谈论照相机以及电脑和网络对我们的生活的影响。

情感目标:1、尊重科学,提升生活中的发明。

          2、培养学生独立思考,合作交流的良好习惯。

重点:

一般将来时和情态动词的被动语态的运用

难点:

能够谈论发明创造的优点以及给我们的生活带来的影响

二、 学习过程

Step 1 Warming up:

Do you often surf the Internet? Do you chat on the Internet? Have you sent the photos to the website? Do you read the e-books on the Internet? Do you receive emails on the Internet?通过这几个句子,让学生发表看法,由此导入本单元话题:Will computers be used more than books in the future?

Step 2. 听力处理 Listen and finish the blanks (Activity 2).

1. Lingling loves her mobile phone because she can ____________________.

2. All of Daming’s friends’ number are ______ in his phone.

3. Today’s cameras are better than old cameras because they do not _________ and the photos can __________________.

4. Lingling thinks everything ___________ by computers to some degree, so the computer is __________________ invention.

Step 3:对话处理:

1、Listen for the first time and answer the following questions.

1 What will Tony do on the school visit to the museum?

 

2 Where did we get mainly information in the pas

 

3How did Tony’s father get the camera?

 

2Listen for the second time and check T or F.

3Read after listening.

Read the summary of the conversation. Underline the wrong information and correct it.

Tony wants to borrow his father’s camera and take some photos of the school dance and the basketball match. The photos will be shown in the school magazine. Tony’s dad lends the camera. Step 4精讲点拨

1. lend  借出,把某物借给某人:  lend sth. to sb.= lend sb. sth. 把某物借给某人

borrow 借入     borrow  sth. from  sb./sp.从某人或某处借某物

Can you lend your pen to me ?

May I borrow books  from you ?

注意:keep ,是延续性动词, 通常表示

借某物多长时间”, 多接表示一段时间的短语或与疑问短语how long连用。例如:

—How long have you kept this novel?

—About two weeks.

 

2. put up; 张贴

(1)是由动词+副词构成的短语, 代词作宾语时, 放于动词和副词之间; 名词作宾语时, 放在中间或后面均可。

(2)put构成的常用短语:

Put off 推迟put out 熄灭put... into....放入 put down放下,记下 put on穿上,上演 put.... away...收起来

3. thousands of好几千; 成千上万

(1)thousands of表示一个不确定的数目, 前面不跟具体数字, 后面跟复数名词。

(2)如果前面有具体数字修饰时,则thousand不加-s, 不能与of连用。例如: two thousand trees 2 000棵树。  
 另外:hundred, million, billion等数词与thousand的用法相同。

4. It's easy to get information on the Internet.

在网上获取信息很容易。

It's +形容词 + to do sth.  “做某事是……的it是形式主语,不定式是真正的主语。例如:

It’s important to learn English well.

学好英语是非常重要的。

5. I haven't used it since your mum's birthday.

自从你妈妈生日,我就没有用过它。since “自从……,引导时间状语从句,主句一般用现在完成时。

I have lived here since I came to the city.

6. Promise= I promise to do that 我答应!

promise to do / that … = make a promise to do / that …    答应,许诺做某事

Step 5 work in pairs:Talk about the advantages of these inventions.

 

 

— We can use email to send messages.

— Yes, we can use email to send messages quickly and cheaply.
