You’ve got a letter from New York.

一、教学目标

1. 知识目标:掌握单词world,often,difficult以及句型Daming has got a Chinese kite and we often fly itin the park.You’ve got a letter from New York, but it’s not from Daming. Haveyou got a book about the US?

2. 能力目标:询问自己他人拥有的物品,复习have got 的用法。比较“and”  “but” 的不同用法。

3.情感目标:善于与人交往,与他人做朋友。

利用“and”“but”将短句连成长句

三、课前准备

PPT课件,磁贴,贴画,图片,多媒体、单词卡

四、教学过程

Step1: Warming--up

T: Good ...,boys and girls. How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you?

T: I’m fine too.Thank you.Today we’ll have a new lesson “You’ve got aletter from New York.”Follow me to write this title please.Before our classI’ll divide you into two big groups. If you do well, you’ll get lots of points.So please try hard. (分组,创建竞争机制)

TFirst let’s sing an English song together. OK? Nowstand up, please. (播放动画,跟唱歌曲“I can speak English.”加上动作增加趣味性)You all sing very well. But what is the song about? SsThis is a song about pen friends.Look at thispicture. What’s the book about? It’s a book about China.Have you got any books?Ss: Yes, I have. And what book have you got? Ss: I have got ...You’ve got somebooks.“What book has John got?”Let’s watch the video.(通过设置选择题的形式,学习Activity1,教授新单词“world”

Step1: Lead-in

1)T: John has got a book about the world.

1. What have Sam and Amy got?----(A letter).

2. What has Laura got?----(A book).

3. What has Daming got?-----(A kite). Let’s watch andmatch.(通过设置连线题,第1遍听音就能较好地理解课文大意,还降低了理解的难度,同时Sam and Amy, Laura, Daming的头像以及对应的答案图片)

2) Free talk: Laura has got a book. What have you got?(提问几位同学,复习句型“have got”)

Step3: New lesson

T: We know Sam and Amy have got a letter.Where is the letter from? Is itfrom Daming? Let’s watch the video again.(播放开头一段的动画)

SsNo, it isn't. It's not from Daming.

TSo we can say “Sam and Amy have got a letter, but(但是)it's not from Daming.”(板书该重点句型)Let’s  go onto watch the video. And  find out theanswers “What does Laura often do? How does Laura think about flying a kite?

SsShe often flies a kite in the park. Payattention to this word “often”. Let’s do some practice with “often”. (通过Look and say.活动让同学们理解并学会运用这个单词。)

T How does Laura think about flyinga kite?

Ss: It’s difficult for her.(教授新单词)

TSo we can say “Daming has got a Chinese dragonkite, and(而且)they often fly it in the park.”(板书该重点句型) Look at the blackboard “it has got the word‘but’, it has got the word ‘and’. Now Read the text quickly and find out thesentences with “and” or “but”.

T: Let’s check them together. (5 sentences with “and” or “but”)

Step4: Practice

T: Let’s have a practice with “and” or “but”.(展示3幅图片)

You are so good.

Step5: Group work

Listen, repeat, then read in groups, Then it’s your show time!

Step6: Emotion

Why does Laura write this letter? Because she wants to be a penfriend with Sam and Amy. We can also make good friends with others. With goodfriends. We can play together, go to school together...So a friend is a presentwhich you give yourself.It is easy to live when we have many good friends.

朋友是你给自己的礼物,朋友多了路好走.

Step7: Summary

What have you learned? 你学到了什么?

1. Sentences with “have got”

2. Sentences with “and ” or “but”

3. Try to make good friends.

Step8: Homework

假如你是SamAmy,给Laura 写一封回信。
